Earlier this fall, we hosted a Magical Disney Bash at the M+A Lincoln Park Guideshop. It was all in the spirit of celebrating our collaboration with Disney on the M+A + Disney collection.  

It was so much fun seeing all the adorable kids dressed in their M+A Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse print sweatshirts and dresses. We love being back in person, and have such a blast with our incredible community! 

After hosting the Bash we thought you might want to steal an idea or two. Here are our top 5 tips on throwing a magical Disney bash of your own, straight from the Monica + Andy Event Coordinators!

1. Set the Mood

We had a snow cone truck parked right in front of the Guideshop. It instantly created excitement, and let people know something special was happening inside. Upon entering the store, guests walked under a giant Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse balloon arch, and they could get a Disney-inspired balloon animal made. From the moment guests arrived they were transported to a magical Disney wonderland!

2. Treat Your Guests

We had Paramount Events use the official Disney cookie cutters from Williams Sonoma to bake the cutest Disney character cookies. They were wrapped in cellophane and were a great takeaway party gift.

3. Create a Playlist

Music creates a vibe and we wanted all the Disney vibes! At our bash we played the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playlist from Spotify in the front of the shop, so our guests heard it as soon as they walked in. As they proceeded into the party, they could participate in a live Disney Sing Along with Jam with Jamie.

4. Have a Photo Booth

Let's be honest, is it even a party without a photo booth?! The photo booth is truly the life of the party. Ours featured Disney props including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse cutouts and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse ears. We kept our background white so the Disney props and prints could really pop. Guests received printed photos and digital files they could post on their social media.

5. Invite the BEST People

A great guest list is obviously going to make the party. We loved seeing our adorable M+A community come dressed and ready to party in their M+A + Disney Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse sweatshirts and dresses. We also had a number of other Disney super fans, including a Disney travel planner and her family.
